About Us

Scott Zahner - Scott grew up in the family business that began in 1951 in the mill town of Rockville. The family business grew and Scott went from stock boy to janitor and then to managing the Boy Scout Department. From there he became the children's buyer. His next four years (1972-1976) he spent at the University of Connecticut to earn a bachelor's degree in finance. In 1978 his father, Manny, retired and Scott became part owner assuming full ownership of the business in 1993.

Vincenzo Marotta (Master Tailor) - Tailoring is a combination of art and engineering. This skill is exhibited by our Master Tailor Vincenzo (Vincent) Marotta who as a boy observed other masters and at 13 went to design school in his native Italy. His schooling led to pattern making for some well recognized designers as Bill Blass and Christian Dior.

When he came to America, he worked for some of the best retailers in New York City and Connecticut before semi-retiring and working for Zahners. We are happy and proud to have such a personable and talented craftsman on our staff.
